Latis, Earl of Vienwray (1728 – 1758)
Described as an affable and talented man, his passion for the outdoors and philanthropy made him very popular among the well, and not so well, to-do population of Vienwray. Women were another passion, one that turned deadly. At age 30 he was found in bed with a slit throat, the handy work of a jealous servant with whom he been having an affair.
