Lord Leo of Brammen (1442 – 1502)
Marrying Lucrezia de Terra in 1473, he was famous for the building of his elaborate country estate, Barrole Hall. A mammoth testament to his ego, credibility, power, and — perhaps an attempt at immortality — several were killed during its construction. It was after the great house was completed that his wife and sons went missing off the coast of Egypt. He commissioned a marble statue of a giraffe to be placed at the front gates of Barrole in their honor.
